Paramount Pictures announces a slew of release dates for Hasbro-related movies, which includes GI Joe, Micronauts, Dungeons & Dragons, and more.
The new GI Joe movie will be released on March 27, 2020.
Micronauts gets released on October 16, 2020.
An untitled Paramount/Hasbro event film has an October 1, 2021 release.
And the new Dungeons & Dragons movie gets released on July 23, 2021.
The four movies come out of the recently created Paramount and Hasbro writers room, which has also said to be creating movies for M.A.S.K. (a favorite toy of mine as a kid; loved the Switchblade!), ROM and Visionaries.
The writers room consists of some of the most notable creative talent in Hollywood, including Academy Award Winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind), who will have responsibility for overseeing the writers room on behalf of Hasbro and Paramount as well as serving as Executive Producer for all of the films. Joining Goldsman will be Lindsey Beer (Wizard of Oz, Kingkiller Chronicle), Pulitzer Prize Winner Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay), Cheo Coker (Luke Cage, Ray Donovan), Joe Robert Cole (Black Panther, People vs. OJ), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel), Jeff Pinkner (Lost, The Dark Tower), Nicole Riegel (LYNCH), Geneva Robertson (Atlantis, Tomb Raider) and Brian K Vaughan (Under the Dome, Lost).
