Godzilla, Kong, and Titan X return in a monstrous new look at the hit Monsterverse series ahead of its February premiere.
Apple TV dropped a brand-new trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 during its 2026 Press Day, with stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm taking the stage to debut the footage.
The teaser offered an explosive preview of the 10-episode season, which premieres globally on Friday, February 27, 2026, with new episodes rolling out weekly through May 1. Watch below.

Kong, Godzilla, and Titan X Take Center Stage
Season 2 continues the high-stakes saga of Monarch, the secretive organization at the heart of Legendary’s Monsterverse. The new trailer puts the spotlight on returning titans Godzilla and Kong, but also introduces a deadly new force: Titan X.
Described as a living cataclysm, Titan X emerges from the ocean in a dazzling bioluminescent display, leaving destruction and mystery in its wake. The trailer teases its terrifying size and power — an ancient titan with unclear motives but undeniable presence.

A World on the Brink
The story picks up with Monarch’s future — and the fate of the world — hanging in the balance. Secrets from the past ripple into the present as the characters reunite on Skull Island and explore a mysterious village tied to another ancient titan rising from the sea.
The tension escalates as the trailer hints at a looming titan event, fracturing alliances and turning friend against foe.

Familiar Faces and New Cast Additions
Alongside the returning leads, Season 2 will feature new cast members including Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
The show is executive produced by Chris Black (who also serves as showrunner), Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, and Andrew Colville. Legendary Television produces, with Toho Co., Ltd. overseeing Godzilla’s licensing.

Monsterverse Expands
The Monsterverse continues to grow across all mediums. Apple TV recently announced a new Young Lee Shaw prequel series starring Wyatt Russell, and plans for multiple additional series centered on both classic and new Titans.
The franchise, which includes the record-breaking Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: Supernova (set for 2027), has earned more than $2.5 billion globally, cementing its place as one of Hollywood’s most successful cinematic universes.
