Milly Alcock’s Supergirl Joins the Puppy Bowl In New Promo

While there’s no Super Bowl trailer for Supergirl, James Gunn made sure fans still got something super with a new Puppy Bowl promo featuring Milly Alcock.

Gunn took to social media to post a quick spot ahead of Sunday’s Puppy Bowl, tying in DC’s ongoing collaboration with Guide Dogs of America.

The short clip features Alcock announcing the collab (note: Warner Bros. owns Animal Planet).

“Out-of-this-world cuteness,” Gunn wrote. “Watch #PuppyBowl Sunday at 2pm ET | 11am PT on Animal Planet, and don’t miss #Supergirl in theaters June 26.”

Puppy Bowl details

The Puppy Bowl promotion picks up where last year’s Superman campaign left off, with a litter of lab puppies named Clark, Kara, Lois, Krypto, and Lobo representing a real-world partnership between DC and Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines. The dogs are being trained to assist the visually impaired, veterans with PTSD or TBI, and children with autism.

Supergirl gets released on June 26, 2026, directed by Craig Gillespie. Alcock stars alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.

The official synopsis teases: When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
