‘Kraven the Hunter’ Rhino Scene Leaks Online!

Sony’s Kraven the Hunter is now playing in theaters and with that the Rhino scene leaks online offering a look at the action and the character. If you though Morbius and Madame Web were bad, well, Kraven has you covered.

Recall how we saw that awful robot version in Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the bozos who run Sony Marvel still can’t get it right. I guess in Kraven they refer to Rhino as a mutant or something (lol) to explain his powers. In the comics, Rhino is Aleksei Sytsevich a low-ranking member of the Russian Mob who agrees to undergo an experiment that gives him the Rhino suit. Long story short, he has a big history with the Hulk and his suit gets changed and strengthened by gamma radiation. None of that plays into Kraven, though maybe the Russian part does.

Box office estimates: could be worse than Madame Web

Just a week ago saw Kraven estimated to open between $20-$25M however just a couple of days ago the estimates dropped to as low as $13M. For comparison, Madame Web opened to $15M and Morbius to $39M. Regardless, it’s going to be a complete disaster.

Rotten Tomatoes

The first reviews haven’t also been good as presently at Rotten Tomatoes the critics score is at 14%, which at least isn’t as low as Madame Web‘s 11%, but it’s now lower than Morbius‘ 15%. At least the fans like Kraven better than Madame Web, as the Kraven fan score is at 69%, a lot better than Madame Web‘s 55%. Morbius is similar at 71%.

Sony done with Spider-Man spinoffs

So things are so bad at Sony Marvel, it has been reported they are done doing anymore Spider-Man spinoff movies. So that means no Sinister Six (without Spider-Man), no Silver Sable and Black Cat (without Spider-Man), and no El Muerto (shucks!). The Venom franchise also ended with Venom 3 bombing at the box office (it’s a terrible film). It’s reported Sony is now focusing on Spider-Man, with Spider-Man 4 at Marvel Studios, it’s third Spider-Verse animated movie, and the Nicholas Cage Spider-Noir live-action TV series at Amazon.
