Kevin Smith recently stopped by the headquarters of Artists Equity, the production company launched by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, which is behind their upcoming Netflix movie, The Rip. Smith gave fans a fun behind-the-scenes look at what’s inside, including some iconic superhero memorabilia.
In a video shared to social media (watch below), Smith revealed that Affleck proudly has his Batman costume on display in the hallway of the office.
But it’s not just any Batsuit, it appears to be the one Affleck wore during his brief appearance in The Flash. Smith also noted that Matt Damon has his astronaut suit from The Martian set up nearby.
Fans will recall that Affleck had originally shot a full ending scene for The Flash, which was ultimately cut. Instead, the theatrical release swapped in George Clooney for a surprise cameo as Bruce Wayne in the closing moments of the film.
Affleck has also said that playing Batman in The Flash was the most fun he had playing the character. Without going into it too much, it’s known WB brass butted heads with Zack Snyder and the DCEU. Affleck also had sobriety issues at the time.
The Real Flash Ending: Batman Multiverse
Ben Affleck’s Batman was set to continue, and Michael Keaton would have returned for a Batman Beyond movie.

The now-abandoned plan also included bringing back Henry Cavill as Superman and continuing the SnyderVerse-era DCEU.
From what we have been told, that vision was scrapped by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who instead directed James Gunn to reboot the DC Universe with lower-cost talent — a move we also speculated was aimed at prepping the company for a sale and now looks to be accurate.

SnyderVerse Could Return Under New Ownership
Now, with Warner Bros. Discovery up for grabs and multiple parties in the mix, we’re told major shake-ups are expected.
Our insiders say James Gunn will be out as head of DC Studios following the sale.
If Paramount ends up buying WBD, we’re hearing there’s serious momentum for restoring the SnyderVerse, including the potential returns of Affleck, Cavill, and even Zack Snyder himself.
Meanwhile, Netflix remains a frontrunner in the acquisition talks, with the deal still unfolding.
