Dwayne Johnson shared another behind-the-scenes update from the set of Jumanji 3, marking a significant moment for the franchise as it approaches its final film.
The update comes as the series celebrates the 30th anniversary of the original Jumanji, released in 1995 and starring the late Robin Williams.
The Rock also celebrated Christmas with a shopping spree at Walmart.
Johnson revealed that production is now deep underway and that the cast and crew took time on set to honor Williams along with the original film’s cast and filmmakers.
He confirmed that Jumanji 3 will serve as the final installment in the modern series and described the moment as especially meaningful given the franchise’s legacy.

Robin Williams Tribute Included in Final Film
As a personal tribute to Williams, Johnson revealed that his character, Dr. Smolder Bravestone, wears the original Jumanji game dice around his neck in the new movie.
The prop is taken directly from the 1995 film and is intended as a sign of respect and acknowledgment of the groundwork laid by Williams and the original creative team.
Johnson emphasized that the final film is meant to honor that legacy while bringing the story to a close. Jumanji 3 is currently filming in Los Angeles, marking the first time the modern franchise has shot in the city.

Johnson Shares Additional Behind-the-Scenes Footage
Along with the tribute post, Johnson also released another behind-the-scenes video connected to the ongoing production, continuing to give fans a look at the energy and scale of the film as it moves forward. The actor has repeatedly described the project as a heartfelt sendoff for the franchise.
The film reunites Johnson with Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black, with Jake Kasdan returning to direct. The screenplay is written by Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg.
Johnson Spreads Holiday Cheer at Walmart
Outside of Jumanji, Johnson also shared videos from a holiday charity event at Walmart, where he surprised families connected to the YMCA.
During the visit, Johnson helped give away toys, shopping sprees, and special “golden ticket” experiences for children and their families.
Johnson said the event was about bringing joy to families going through difficult times, noting that moments like these are what make his platform meaningful.
He teamed up with Walmart and his PapaTui brand to help families load up shopping carts with gifts during the holiday season.
Release Date and Final Chapter
Jumanji 3 is scheduled to hit theaters December 11, 2026, from Sony Pictures. Johnson has confirmed the movie will close out the franchise, bringing the modern Jumanji era to an end while honoring the spirit of Robin Williams’ original film.
