Voltron Movie Adds More To Diverse Cast

The live-action Voltron movie adds to its obviously diverse cast with Alba Baptista, Samson Kayo, and Tharanya Tharan.

They join yesterday’s announcement of Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora and John Kim.

Henry Cavill and Daniel Quinn-Toye were previously announced as part of the cast. Roles are being kept under wraps.

What is the Voltron movie about?

We don’t have much to go on other than a video shared by director Rawson Marshall Thurber released at the recent Voltron convention.

Rawson Marshall Thurber said he’s a huge fan adding they have “reimagined Voltron for the live-action world.”

“You know, I loved Voltron since I was a boy, and I wanted to make this movie since I was eight years old. And so to finally, finally have the chance to bring Voltron to life is beyond thrilling to me. I want to make sure that we stay true to the heart, and the spirit of Voltron,” he said.

The video also saw a peek at the set list which includes references to the Lions, the Lion cockpits, and the cast.

Voltron doesn’t have a release date as of yet and films in Australia.

Alba Baptista is known for Warrior Nun, Samson Kayo for House of the Dragon and Our Flag Means Death, Tharanya Tharan for Year of.
