Venom 3: Juno Temple Cast In Lead Role

Juno Temple, the Emmy-nominated star of the popular Apple series Ted Lasso, is in talks to co-star in Sony and Marvel’s highly anticipated film Venom 3 where the actress is said to have a lead role. The film will feature Tom Hardy reprising his role as the titular character, with Kelly Marcel, the franchise’s longtime writer, taking on the role of director who wrote the two previous flicks.

Juno Temple is also known for Atonement, Mr. Nobody, Killer Joe, Horns, and had a small role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Her role in Venom 3 is currently unknown.

Venom 3 is currently in pre-production and doesn’t have an official release date as of yet but Sony has a date saved for a Marvel film on July 12, 2024, so that could be the release date for the third film in the franchise.

Marcel and Hardy are also producing, with Marcel writing the screenplay from a story she and Tom Hardy wrote; Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal and Hutch Parker are also producing.

Tom Hardy teasing Spider-Man for Venom ?

No plot details are known about Venom 3 as of yet but some fans think Spider-Man may actually appear due to Tom Hardy drawing a doodle teasing what looks like an “S’ as part of Venom’s tongue while teasing the script.

Tom Hardy and Venom actually almost joined the MCU in Spider-Man: Far From Home as they were going to be a part of the big battle at the end, but things were changed and Tom Hardy and Venom were removed and kept out of the MCU.

While promoting the release of Morbius, the director did state a version of Spider-Man does exist within the Sony spinoff universe, so who knows, maybe Spidey will eventually make his way to the Venom films.

Sony also has Kraven the Hunter starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson arriving on Oct. 6, 2023, Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson gets released on Feb. 16, 2024, and a movie starring Bad Bunny as El Muerto is in the works.

The animated Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse also gets released on June 2.
