Doctor Who Season 7 Premiere To Be Held In NYC Before Televised Debut

The BBC has announced that the first episode to Season 7 of Doctor Who, “Asylum of the Daleks,” will premiere in NYC on August 25th.

Note: This is before the BBC America television premiere this Fall.

The screening will held at the Ziegfeld Theatre and will also include a Doctor Who QnA.

Limited tickets are available with the event starting at 4pm ET; the screening takes place at 6pm ET.

Doctor Who’s John Barrowman Joins CW’s Arrow

John Barrowman, of Doctor Who and Torchwood fame, has joined the cast of CW’s new Arrow TV series.

The role is described by EW as a recurring one with Barrowman’s character said to be a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy … he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”

EW notes it could possibly be Philanthropist Stanley Dover Sr. from the Green Arrow comic books.

John Barrowman is known from Doctor Who and Torchwood as Captain Jack Harkness, a popular and fan-favorite character.

Arrow premiers Wednesday October 10th at 8pm ET on the CW.
