Taylor Swift Confirmed NOT in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’

Getting ahead of a potential major PR disaster, Disney and Marvel make the smart call to confirm that Taylor Swift is NOT in next month’s Deadpool & Wolverine.

Various rumors have claimed Taylor Swift could be playing Dazzler in Deadpool & Wolverine, and director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds have played coy when asked.

But could you imagine if the legion of Swifties show up and don’t see Taylor Swift?!

Confirmed by EW

Well, worry no more, as through Entertainment Weekly, it is confirmed Taylor Swift is not in Deadpool & Wolverine.

“EW can exclusively confirm the pop superstar is not in the film,” states EW.com in their article titled, “Sorry, Swifties: Taylor Swift is not featured in Deadpool and Wolverine (exclusive).”

The site adds, “Sorry, Swifties! Despite internet rumors, Taylor Swift will not be dazzling the screen in Deadpool and Wolverine. The pop superstar behind albums like The Tortured Poets Department and folklore is not in the film, Entertainment Weekly has learned exclusively.”

IMAX poster shuts down rumors and speculation

In addition to the rumors, EW.com also points out the recent release of the IMAX poster (above) fueled Taylor Swift speculation as the poster features the two titular characters wearing friendship bracelets like the ones that have become popular with the Taylor Swift tour.

However, following the poster release, Disney and Marvel were quick to shut down the rumors and speculation.

Still rumored for Marvel

While she doesn’t happen to be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine, Taylor Swift still happens to be rumored a part of the MCU involved with Scarlett Johansson’s secret Marvel project.

Deadpool & Wolverine gets released July 26 starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
