Tom Holland Drops Spider-Man: Homecoming Spoiler

Whoops! We’ll leave it to the excitement of Comic-Con for the following Spider-Man: Homecoming spoiler accidently revealed by Tom Holland.

The films sees Spider-Man having mechanical web shooters, with footage revealed at Comic-Con of Peter Parker secretly making web fluid in class. Now Tom Holland offers further details about Spider-Man’s webbing to Entertainment Tonight while being interviewed at the SDCC.

“We working on different ways of doing it,” Holland said about Spider-Man’s wrist movement that shoots the webbing. “For different types of webs, you see. There’s not just [makes the number one with his hand]… Oh, I might have given something away there.”

Tom Holland continues and shows off the classic Spider-Man wrist movement with mention they are doing something in Spider-Man: Homecoming (in addition to the new wrist movements and webbing accidentally mentioned above) that hasn’t been seen before in any of the movies.

“It’s like this. What we really want to try and [show] is grabbing the web,” Holland said. “We’ve never seen anyone… It’s always just like ‘it sticks to him, so now we have to grab [the web].’ So that’s our big thing of the moment.”

Regarding the different types of Spider-Man webs, the news shouldn’t be all that surprising as Spider-Man spins various webs in the comics (and previous movies) which range from his webline to small structures (parachutes) to thicker webs to web balls.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” has a July 7, 2017 release directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

Synopsis:

Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tony Revolori Posts Flash Thompson Venom Fan Art

Comic-Con saw word that Tony Revolori is playing a character named “Flash” in Spider-Man: Homecoming, though I don’t believe the last name never was ever revealed.

Obviously the character could be Flash Thompson, which a lot of people aren’t too thrilled about if true.

The notion that Tony Revolori is Flash Thompson in Spider-Man: Homecoming seems to hold up as the initial description of the character stated Revolori is playing Peter Parker’s nemesis/enemy at high school, but not playing a super villain. In addition, Revolori confirmed he’s Peter Parker’s bully.

In the comics and previous movies, Flash Thompson is known to be a buff white dude (played by Joe Manganiello in the Sam Raimi movies) who is the football star and bullies Peter Parker. Following high school graduation, Flash enlists in the Army and eventually is paired with the Venom symbiote.

We see Marvel Studios has gone a vastly different route with Tony Revolori as he’s of Guatemalan descent. We might be able to speculate that instead of being a physical bully, Revolori’s Flash might be a mental bully — perhaps Peter Parker’s intellectual rival at high school.

That said, with Tony Revolori apparently playing Flash Thompson, a fan went out and created art of the actor’s likeness with the Venom symbiote.

Tony Revolori posted the art on his Instagram account adding: “Some really dope fan art that I had to share. @chickenz_punk thank you this is amazing,” and included the hashtags: “#flashthompson” and “#spiderman.”

See below.

Spider-Man: Homecoming Spideymobile Set Video May Suggest Tinkerer

New set footage out of Atlanta has hit the net where we see the “Spideymobile” in action for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

A user on Twitter recorded a scene where Spider-Man can be seen driving a convertible.

Users on Reddit suggest that Spider-Man may have stolen borrowed Tony Stark’s car. In addition, it’s doesn’t look like Peter Parker even has a driver’s license as he’s 15-years-old (may have a permit).

The Spideymobile looks to be an Audi convertible as Marvel partners with Audi for vehicles in their various movies. In Captain America: Civil War, a 2017 Audi R8 V10 plus Coupe, a 2017 Audi SQ7, a 2017 A4 and a 2016 A7 Sportback were used.

In the comics, Spider-Man agrees to drive the Spideymobile to help pay the bills when he’s approached by an advertising firm to promote a non-polluting car. The Human Torch helps Spider-Man build the Spideymobile, and when Spider-Man takes it out for a spin, he ends up capturing Hammerhead’s thugs. Eventually, the Spideymobile leads Spider-Man into a confrontation with the Tinkerer, who interestingly enough has been said to be another villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Second Avenger Rumored For Spider-Man: Homecoming

A second member of The Avengers may be joining Spider-Man: Homecoming.

In addition to Robert Downey Jr., possibly Scarlett Johansson may be appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Black Widow.

The tidbit comes from a Twitter account that has been posting Spider-Man: Homecoming set photos out of Atlanta.

“Well, well… hi Scarlett. What’cha doing here?” the Atlanta Filming Twitter account posted.

The account also posted that Robert Downey Jr. had returned to the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming the day before, so it’s likely Tony Stark and Black Widow would be featured in the scene.

Scarlett Johannson did recently finish filming on Ghost in the Shell so she does have time to shoot Spider-Man: Homecoming, and if she is in the movie, more than likely it’s in a cameo role.

Below you can check out some Spider-Man: Homecoming set photos from the Twitter account.

Chris Evans has also stated he wants to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but as of now, the only Avenger confirmed is Robert Downey Jr.

Regarding the villain of the movie, Vulture, Feige said Vulture’s origins and powers are tech-based and not super powers.

Spider-Man: Homecoming Is Intense Featuring Heavy Hitters Says Tom Holland (Video)

While the recent cast announcements and footage released at Comic-Con suggest a good part of Spider-Man: Homecoming will take part in high school, Tom Holland lets it be known the film will still have a lot of intense scenes.

“We haven’t yet. We haven’t yet,” Holland responded to questioning by MTV if he started to mix it up with the Vulture. “We’re waiting for that day to come. And it’s fun because we’ve been shooting all the high school stuff with all the cast who are just wonderful, and I love them to bits, and it’s so great to work with them, but all the heavy hitters haven’t arrived, yet. That’s all to come. It’s going to get intense. What you saw today [at Comic-Con] is a part of the movie, but there is a whole other side of this movie we that we haven’t seen, yet.”

We see mention of “heavy hitters,” which may suggest more than just the Vulture for Spider-Man: Homecoming as info out of Comic-Con may have accidently leaked two more villains for the movie.

The Comic-Con footage released saw Peter Parker in high school watching footage of the Captain America: Civil War airport scene; of Peter secretly making web fluid while in class; of girls in gym class playing an Avengers-name game with question of “What about Spider-Man” being asked; of Zenday’s Michelle making fun of Peter and a friend for staring at girls; of Peter wanting to leave library, with Zendaya’s Michelle questioning, “Where are you going” and “What are you hiding,” but then teasing, “I don’t care”; other footage showed Spider-Man on the back of a truck, and hiding under a table by sticking to it; with a quick glimpse of the Vulture also shown at the end.

Sony Boss Says Marvel Has Their Spider-Man: Homecoming Stuff Together

Tom Rothman, head of Sony Pictures, talks with IGN in the below video about Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Rothman offers info on the movie’s title having multiple meanings, revealing a scene in the process, and also has good things to say about working with Marvel as well as new Spider-Man Tom Holland. Watch the video below. Here’s the text:

I can tease you all kinds of things… Here’s the thing I can tell you. We’re really, really fortunate on this because Marvel and Kevin Feige have really embraced the character and no one knows it as well as Marvel. It is another crown jewel of Sony’s for sure, but Homecoming, the name, is a double entendre on purpose. It’s relevant to the story, because it takes place in high school, and there is a scene, I guess I can give a little thing, at a homecoming dance. I’ve actually seen the dailies on it because we already did the high school shooting in the first couple weeks, it was fanastic. But it’s also a homecoming to Marvel and a homecoming to the cinematic universe that Spider-Man belongs in. So it’s pretty unprecented deal between two studios, we’re really proud of it, and I all I can tell you is, those guys at Marvel, I think the technical term is “they know their shit.” The other thing that’s fantastic is Civil War — is Tom Holland. Fantastic! He’s fantastic. And the reason he is is all the pre-existing movies and all incarnations, but this is it. This is that character, and it’s all of its youthful complications and “I have to save the world and get my chemistry homework done. Which have I got to do?” It’s really… I truly can’t wait until next Summer.

Michael [Keaton] hasn’t started working, yet. He doesn’t start working until later. It’s a long shoot. It takes a long time. But I have seen Spidey in his new Spidey suit. It’s bad ass.

It was very important [to get Robert Downey Jr.], but I wouldn’t say, I mean it was wonderfully commercially, but that’s not why. We could see the beginnings of the relationship that was established in Civil War. So it was very important from a character part of the story, and I think that fans will really be rewarded by the character growth between them. It’s fun. I gotta say. We feel really, really lucky.

Bokeem Woodbine Cast As Another Spider-Man: Homecoming Villain

By my count this makes three, possibly four, potential villains for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

THR reports Bokeem Woodbine has been cast as another bad guy, though the role is unknown.

Michael Keaton has already been said to be playing Vulture, with Logan Marshall-Green said to be a secondary villain.

Better Call Saul‘s Michael Mando may be playing some sort of villain as well.

While shades of Spider-Man 3 come to mind, bear in mind some of these villains could simply be “bad guys,” meaning drug lords or burglars and not necessarily super villains.

It’s also possible they could be setting up super villains down the road (Sinister Six?), with the actors playing their alter-ego in Spider-Man: Homecoming (i.e. Norman Osborn; then a later movie sees Green Golbin).

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” has a July 7, 2017 release directed by Jon Watts also starring Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and JJ Totah.

Michael Mando Rumored For Carnage In Spider-Man: Homecoming

Almost two years ago saw a Venom and Carnage movie rumored for 2017.

Obviously things have changed with Spider-Man back at Marvel, but now it’s being suggested that Carnage may be a part of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Better Call Saul actor Michael Mando has recently been cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming in an unknown role.

What’s interesting is that the official Better Caul Saul twitter account tweeted out a congratulations to Michael Mando with the following (via reddit):

“Mando Michael is spectacular at bringing carnage to life in Better Call Saul,” the tweet reads.

Obviously the social media managers of Better Call Saul could simply be Spider-Man fans themselves, but it is possible they could be teasing something more, namely Cletus Kasady, the other half of Carnage.

Perhaps Michael Mando will be appearing as Cletus Kasady (or some version of the character) in Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Head of Sony movies, Tom Rothman, recently confirmed they are building a Spider-Man universe and also have further plans to work with Marvel.

Eventually, they will have to introduce new characters and we have yet to see Carnage on the big screen.

Stan Lee Films Spider-Man: Homecoming Cameo; Praises Tom Holland

Over the weekend saw Stan Lee attend the Denver Comic-Con where it’s learned Stan Lee has filmed three new Marvel cameos.

Stan Lee also had good things to say about the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland.

“Oh, he’s wonderful. I was with him the other day. He is great,” Stan Lee said about Tom Holland and Spider-Man: Homecoming. “I can’t believe it. It’s as if we created a living being to be Spider-Man, and it turned out to be Tom.”

We can probaly speculate the three Marvel cameos Stan Lee filmed are for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and most likely the upcoming Doctor Strange movie (or possibly Avengers 3).

“It’s hard to pick my favorite cameo because you know they are all masterpieces. Unfortunately, this will frustrate you a little. I have a favorite, but I can’t tell you what it is because it hasn’t appeared yet. I had to go [to Atlanta, Georgia] to do three cameos for three movies at the same time. One of the cameos I did is for the…” Stan Lee teased before being cut off by someone off-stage who told him not to name the movies.  “Let me put it this way, it’s a movie that will come out soon. You’re going to all want to see it because it’s one of your favorites,” he said. “In that movie I have a cameo where I’m dressed up as… I won’t tell but you are gonna love it.”

Stan Lee also recently had a cameo with his wife in X-Men: Apocalypse.
