“The Walking Dead” returns in October to AMC starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt.
The Walking Dead Season 7 Comic-Con trailer:
It looks as if Morgan is safe in The Walking Dead Season 7, at least for the mean time.
AMC debuted a new image of Lennie James’ character, Morgan, suggesting he meets up with the group from The Kingdom. It’s also being rumored that Ezekiel is being cast, which may set up The Kingdom vs. Negan’s Saviors.
“The exciting thing about season 7 is we’re really opening it up,” EP Greg Nicotero told EW.com. “We started in season 6 by getting a sense that the world was a much larger place. We were laying the seeds for the fact that there is a very big world out there. So, in season 7, we really get a chance to explore those worlds in much greater detail.”
AMC also has the following Walking Dead banner on display at Comic-Con where interestingly enough Eugene sticks out like a sore thumb. My bet is still on Abraham, but we won’t find out who dies until the first episode of Season 7.
The Walking Dead will be in Hall H at Comic-Con on Friday at 1pm and will release the Season 7 trailer with the following confirmed in attendance: Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt, and producers producers Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert. Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will moderate the panel.
Even though Jeffrey Dean Morgan died in Batman Vs. Superman playing Thomas Wayne, it is possible we could see Morgan again some time down the line.
While it might be a stretch if it will ever make it to the movies, in the DC Comics Flashpoint series, Barry Allen went back in time and saves his mother which causes all sorts of things to change, with one being Thomas Wayne becoming the Batman.
A fan recorded video of Jeffrey Dean Morgan answering a fan question if he would be interested in playing the role.
“Man, I would love to play that Batman… It would be very cool,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan responded and added a while back he was asked if he would be interested in doing a Batman story with, “Are you f’n insane? Of course I’d be interested.”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan also says it will be interesting to see where the movies go and reiterated, “Man, I would love it. I would definitely love it.”

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the man behind Negan and the scene causing all the controversy (though obviously of no fault), comments on last night’s Season 6 finale to The Walking Dead.
Variety jotted down Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s comments at a press event, where Morgan notes not even he knew the episode was going to end the way it did.
I didn’t know it was going to be a cliffhanger until I watched the show – that was how it was done in my world. I don’t know if any of the cast knew how exactly it was going to end, which caused a lot of the uncertainty and emotion to be going on. That being said, in talking to Scott and Robert last night, I think their explanation [was] that that was the end of the story for that season, and that is that Rick has lost control, and there’s Negan, and Negan has all the control and I think that’s where they wanted to end the story — and it’s not about the death of that person … the death of the person is gonna kick off 7, and Season 7 will be a big part of who is on the receiving end of Lucille. I understand the fans’ frustration, I get that. That being said… I have to trust these writers and showrunners, they know what they’re doing. It’s been a show that a lot of people watch for six seasons and I believe they’ll be back to see who met Lucille and as the story continues to grow.
Of further interest is that Jeffrey Dean Morgan makes note The Walking Dead Season 7 will pick up right where the Season 6 finale left off, and that the plan for the show is to follow how Negan is depicted in the comics.
That would be the hope, yeah, that’s the impression I have [to show the graphic detail of whoever met Lucille], we will pick up directly from what we saw last night that ends Season 6, on that note, and Season 7 is gonna pick up right where we left off. So yeah, you’re gonna see who’s at the end of that bat and what happens from there.
I know a little bit, I know where we’re going. I’ve got a stack of the “Walking Dead” comic books next to my bed here. I think we’re going to stick pretty close to what you see in the graphic novel with this character because he’s so iconic to this world, so this storyline is going to stay true. From what I understand talking to Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman, we’re gonna try and keep it pretty close. I think that’s something to be able to look forward to because it’s a great storyline.
“The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Steven Yeun as Glenn, Norman Reedus as Daryl, Lennie James as Morgan, Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel, Michael Cudlitz as Abraham, Josh McDermitt as Eugene, Alanna Masterson as Tara, Christian Serratos as Rosita, Tovah Feldshuh as Deanna, Ross Marquand as Aaron, Alexandra Breckenridge as Jesse, and Austin Nichols as Spencer.

For the first time we hear from Jeffrey Dean Morgan who has been cast as the new bad guy in The Walking Dead.
Morgan participated in a Q&A at PasCon where he offers the following in the above video:
“The role we are talking about is The Walking Dead. The role of Negan. It’s a whole different ball game. You all know about Negan? Me, too. That’s why I did it. Here is what I will tell you about Negan… When my agent/manager called they said, ‘You’ve been offered this thing on The Walking Dead…to play this big bad.” Which is supposed to be secret, and I’m like, ‘Is it fucking Negan?’ And they’re like, ‘I don’t know, we’re going to call you back. Hold on a second.’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s fucking Negan. And I’m fucking doing it.’ I think the challenge for this role in me is going to be ‘is there any heart in Negan.’ For me I look at that as a challenge for an actor…”
Negan was name-dropped in the mid-season after credit scene for The Walking Dead.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast as Negan for AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Contrary to Gerret Dillahunt being speculated for the role, THR reports following an extensive casting search, AMC’s The Walking Dead has found its next major villain in the form of Jeffrey Dean Morgan who will arrive in the Season 6 finale and then go on to be a series regular in Season 7.
In The Walking Dead comic book, Negan is the violent leader of a group known as The Saviors who use force and intimidation to subjugate other communities, which includes Alexandria.
The report mentions Timothy Olyphant, Matt Dillon and Garret Dillahunt were up for the role of Negan, which went through the casting process under the name of “Orin.”
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is known for roles in Watchmen and plays Thomas Wayne in the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays on AMC.
About a year ago saw a set image from Batman Vs. Superman hit the net which revealed a painting looking like Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Online speculation immediately stated Morgan may be playing Thomas Wayne, father to Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne.
Now while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, Jeffery Dean Morgan is asked about the image, with it sounding likely Morgan is indeed reuniting with Watchmen‘s Zack Snyder for Batman vs. Superman.
“God, dang. It sure looks like me. Doesn’t it,” Morgan replied when Kimmel asked if it was him in the picture. “I think you probably have to go watch the movie to see if that’s me, but it looks a lot like me, man.”
