Due to movie theaters shutting down because of the coronavirus, Sonic the Hedgehog is getting an early video-on-demand release, just 46 days after it was released in theaters.
The VOD release for Sonic will be March 31.
Hope our #SonicMovie can help ease some of that time indoors!! ✌️– https://t.co/x0oAK887Ni

Sonic The Hedgehog is a big hit
When first released on President’s Day weekend, Sonic the Hedgehog blew by estimates as the flick brought in over $70 million.
Sonic has now made over $300 million worldwide which will certainly lead to a sequel that was teased in the post-credit scenes.
Director Jeff Fowler has already teased that a sequel is happening as well.
The movie also has a 93% Audience Score at Rotten Tomatoes.
Sonic the Hedgehog stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski.
