Add Sink’s red hair from set photos, and it’s easy to see why fans jumped straight to Jean.

Marvel hiding Jean Grey would make sense.
This is the same studio that kept Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield out of the Spider-Man: No Way Home marketing, even though everyone knew the rumors. The reveal still worked because Marvel never officially showed its hand.

There’s also the recent figure leak pointing to the return of a feral or savage Hulk, which could explain why Spider-Man would need upgraded tech in the first place.
