‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Trailer and Poster Now Online

Marvel has now released the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer that was featured as the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credit scene and also revealed the first poster.

“The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little,” teases the video description. “Watch the official teaser for Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Only in theaters May 6.”

The film is directed by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez.

Recently saw box art for a LEGO tie-in set seemingly reveal an evil version of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, and the LEGO set also revealed that, as seen in the trailer, the one-eyed monster Doctor Strange is fighting happens to be Gargantos.

Following Spider-Man: No Way Home, rumors also offer Tobey Maguire will be reunited with director Sam Raimi in Doctor Strange 2, so that could be the next movie we see the Multiverse Spider-Verse characters in some form, which currently are really popular and taking everything by storm as No Way Home is at over $750 million worldwide at the box office. Following the success of No Way Home, it will be interesting to see if Doctor Strange 2 follows suit.

Kevin Feige also described Doctor Strange 2 at least year’s Disney Investor Day event as: “Elizabeth Olsen is currently in London right now. She is shooting the film Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness with director Sam Raimi, star Benedict Cumberbatch and the rest of the cast including Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and joining them is a new fan-favorite character from the comics, America Chavez, played by Xochitl Gomez. This film hits theaters [May 6, 2022], and we are really pushing the boundaries of storytelling with this thrilling, scary, mind-bending adventure. Not only will Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness connect directly to the events of WandaVision, but it will also connect to the events of our new Spider-Man film coming to theaters December 2021.”
