Spider-Man: Brand New Day: First Look at Zendaya on Set With Tom Holland

New Spider-Man: Brand New Day set photos reveal Zendaya visiting the Glasgow location where Tom Holland was filming an emotional scene. The two were seen together between takes, but it appears that Zendaya was not shooting as MJ.

In the MCU timeline, MJ no longer remembers Peter Parker after the events of No Way Home, so her presence on set is not considered a spoiler for the film’s story. She’s just there supporting her boyfriend, but is said to be in Brand New Day as MJ.

Peter at Aunt May’s Grave

The photos show Holland in costume as Peter Parker at Aunt May’s grave, wearing a dark jacket, a winter hat, and looking visibly battered, with cuts and bruises on his face. The somber moment suggests Peter visits the gravesite following a fight or major confrontation.

It’s unclear whether the scene involves other characters, but Zendaya’s appearance is believed to be a personal visit to see Holland during filming rather than part of the shoot itself.

Emotional Tone Matches Brand New Day’s Story

Producer Amy Pascal previously explained that Brand New Day follows Peter fully embracing the Spider-Man identity after giving up his personal life as Peter Parker.

A graveside scene, especially following a physical fight, fits with the film’s darker and more grounded direction, which Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has emphasized in recent interviews.

Recent set images and video have also shown off Tom Holland fully suited up in the new Spider-Man costume, along with Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Together, it’s said they will take on Mark Ruffalo’s Savage Hulk before teaming to face the movie’s ultimate villain.
