First Look At Dafne Keen And Anthony Mackie In ‘Barracuda’

Neil Burger has shared a new behind-the-scenes look at Barracuda, offering the first image of Dafne Keen and Anthony Mackie together from the movie.

The photo, posted to Burger’s Instagram, shows Keen and Mackie with the director on set.

Burger also revealed the two stars have finished filming their parts, writing, “That’s a wrap on @dafnekeen and @anthonymackie. So grateful to have such perfect actors for the movie.”

The new image marks the first real cast photo from Barracuda following Burger’s earlier posts teasing the movie’s 1973 Plymouth Barracuda and action-heavy set footage from inside the camera car.

Now fans have a better look at the movie’s core trio behind the production, with Burger standing between Keen and Mackie in the set photo.

Mackie and Keen appear to have wrapped quickly

Barracuda started filming on April 7 in New Mexico.

With Burger now confirming a wrap for Keen and Mackie, it looks like their portion of filming lasted only about a month. That is a pretty fast turnaround for the two leads, though it does not necessarily mean the entire production is finished.

What Barracuda is about

Barracuda stars Mackie as Karl, a former smuggler with a haunted past who storms a nightclub in Mexico to rescue Jodie, a kidnapped teenage girl played by Keen.

The official synopsis says Karl kills the brother of a ruthless club owner and steals his prized 1973 Plymouth Barracuda, setting off a violent chase across desert roads toward the U.S. border.

Everything revealed so far points to Barracuda being a lean action thriller built around fast cars, practical chase scenes, and a simple survival setup.
