Amber Heard thanks fans for Mera returning in Aquaman 2 as the actress posted a thank you message to fans on Instagram along with three behind-the-scenes images.
“After all this time, Aquaman 2 made its splash (sorry, it’s too easy) Thank you to all of my fans for the overwhelming support and love in Mera’s AQ return. Thank you so much #aquaman,” she posted.
During the controversial trial with Jonny Depp, there were all kinds of claims and speculation that Amber Heard was going to get cut from Aquaman 2, but that didn’t happen. Both Amber Heard and Mera are actually in the movie more than anyone thought.
Even the former head of the DC films universe, Walter Hamada, testified that her role was cut as they felt Amber Heard didn’t have good onscreen chemistry with star Jason Momoa, but regardless, again Mera has a decent amount of screen time as plays an important role at the end of the movie.
That said, Amber Heard did top a list of most disliked celebrities in 2023 along with Meghan Markle.
The Aquaman 2 box office is also doing better than expected, and while not anywhere near the first movie’s billion-dollar box office, recently passed the $250 million mark and Marvel’s The Marvels. The desperate Disney and MCU shill sites celebrated The Marvels having a higher opening box office than Aquaman 2 but now the tide has turned and Aquaman 2 is obliterating Brie Larson and Iman Vellani.
Up next for Amber Heard is unknown but it is at least known her time as Mera is over. James Gunn is rebooting things with his DCU, so the current DCEU is over. Jason Lobo is expected to continue on in the DCU as another character, Lobo. Amber Heard recently starred in In The Fire which is available through streaming.
