Zachary Levi Comments On Shazam: Is In Training For The Role

Yesterday saw the news announced that Zachary Levi is set to play Captain Marvel, aka Shazam, for the DCEU!

The news took many fans by surprise, but it seems as Zachary Levi playing Shazam is starting to sink in.

Now Zachary Levi has taken to Instagram to comment on the announcement and reposted that cool Shazam fan art:

Honored and greatly humbled to be a part of the #dcuniverse by bringing the original Captain Marvel to life. I am beside myself with gratitude, not only for this opportunity, but also the incredible outpouring of love and support from so many of you out there in the world. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in the gym for the rest of forever.

As Zachary Levi notes, he’s in training for the role as Captain Marvel is one jacked dude! Zachary Levi is going to need to pack on the pounds if he is going to take on the likes of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam or even Henry Cavill’s Superman!

The Shazam movie has an April 2019 release directed by David F. Sandberg.
