Update: Carlito has also confirmed his contract won’t be renewed.
R-Truth’s legacy
Killings’ departure comes shortly after his involvement in a storyline with WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena. At WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, R-Truth wrestled and lost to Cena, who cheated to win. He also wrestled JC Mateo on “SmackDown” and lost just days before the announcement.
Throughout his career, Killings made a name for himself becoming the two-time WWE United States Champion, a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion (once with Kofi Kingston and once with The Miz), and holds the record for the most reigns as WWE 24/7 Champion — a staggering 54 times — making the title and its comedic segments synonymous with his name.
