A much better Monday Night Raw than last week, this week’s episode felt a lot cleaner and smoother, and everything seemed to count as nothing fell flat.
Liv Morgan & Dirty Dom
Kicking off WWE Raw on Netflix, Liv Morgan and Dirty Dom make good TV. They’re both hated by the crowd. That’s why you like them so much. Dirty Dom got mad heat. He’s quickly becoming a huge fan-favorite heel, even though he’s a bit of a squid and needs to hit the weights. Iyo Sky nailing Dom was an added bonus!
Monday Night Morgan?

Ivy Nile vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Asuka
Great match. There’s a case to be made that the girls actually wrestle better than the boys. Asuka comes back and gets the win, which I thought was pretty obvious. Rhea Ripley helps out. I was cheering on Stephanie Vaquer, though.

New Day announcement
Update: Apparently, there was a New Day announcement shown on social media (watch below) but not on Raw. Guess, we had another commercial to air. What’s it say when you cut a promo involving your tag team champs? Yikes. Not a good look at all.

Gunther & Goldberg
Up next, Goldberg!
GOLDBERG is BACK on #WWERaw! pic.twitter.com/cqrTCnCxth

Per all the rumors and speculation, the segment starts with Gunther coming out to celebrate his victory. I think the crowd knew what was going on and started to chant “Goldberg!” lol. Gunther played it off well and then went into Seth Rollins.
Goldberg’s music hits! They’ll be battling at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia, Goldberg’s retirement match. He doesn’t look as big as he used to. I guess he has had a lot of injuries and such. Still, he looks in decent shape. I met him backstage in Buffalo years ago. I always liked him. Hey, Gunther! You’re next!
GUNTHER?! You're NEXT! 💥💥💥

JD McDonagh vs. AJ Styles
This was a bit better than the Styles vs. Gable match from last week. Again, it wasn’t a surprise that Styles got the win. Later on, they announced that at Night of Champions, Styles will take on Dirty Dom for the Intercontinental title, so again, the overall match didn’t fall flat and there was some payoff.
Can AJ Styles become Intercontinental Champion once again?! 👀#WWERaw pic.twitter.com/nniU65XAPC

Bayley & Becky Lynch
This was the weakest segment of the night. They ended up announcing Bayley would get an Intercontinental title shot next week. I think there are better women WWE Superstars that should get the spotlight.

Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane
Unfortunately, Liv Morgan was said to be injured, so they ended the match early and Sane won by forfeit. Didn’t seem to be a work.
Jey Uso vs. Rusev vs. Sheamus vs. Bronson Reed
Battle of the bruisers! I liked this match. It’s a bunch of big brutes battling it out.
Everyone comes out, and it’s total mayhem. Bron Breakker with Paul Heyman, then Sami Zayn and Penta. Breakker’s a beast. I would have liked Bronson Reed to get the win. Of course, Jey Uso gets it (eyeroll). Rollins comes out and confronts Uso. Then Cody Rhodes’ music hits! Rollins exits the ring. though. Next week sees Uso vs Rhodes for the King of the Ring semi-final.

The Verdict
Overall, a fun Raw. Favorites of mine are Liv Morgan, Dominick Mysterio, Stephanie Vaquer, Rhea Ripley, Gunther, Golderg, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. 8/10.
