Venom Movie Described As Horror Sci-Fi

Venom Movie Described As Horror Sci-Fi

A new Venom movie is in the works from Sony which looks to begin filming this Fall for an October 5, 2018 release.

Now a new description has hit the new for the Venom movie describing the film as ā€œAction / Horror / Sci-Fiā€ by MyEntertainmentWorld.

Not many details are known about the Venom movie other than it’s not set in the MCU, Marvel Studios is not involved, and there is even question if it will be associated with the Tom Holland Spider-Man.

The producers behind the Amazing Spider-Man movies are behind the new Venom movie, who are not connected to Marvel Studios, so it remains to be seen what exactly the Venom movie will be about.

If I had to guess, I would guess that Venom will be the anti-hero/hero/good guy of the movie, and that Sony is developing Venom into a franchise of its own as Spider-Man is assumed to not be involved.

The news of Venom being a horror movie could also mean that Sony may be thinking about giving it an R-rated release, as Fox Studios’ Logan and Deadpool have seen quite the success.Ā

Update: Venom movie said to be R-rated.

A Black Cat and Silver Sable movie is also in development from Sony, again not attached to Spider-Man: Homecoming, the MCU or Marvel Studios.
