Toy Story 5 still posts big numbers in the latest early tracking chart shared via Puck News and based on data from The Quorum, but the trend is what stands out.
The film came in with a 64 awareness score and a 60 interest score, which are strong on their own. But awareness dropped by 6 points over the prior two weeks, while interest slipped by 2.
For one of Disney and Pixar’s biggest brands, that should raise eyebrows. It also recently became known Toy Story 5 will be the first with a “PG” rating in the franchise.

The Numbers Are Still Strong
There is no question Toy Story 5 remains one of the best-known movies on the chart.
A 64 awareness score and 60 interest score put it in a strong position overall and ahead of many other upcoming titles.
So this is not a story about a weak brand. It is a story about momentum.

The Dip Is The Story
Awareness usually goes up as a movie gets closer to release, especially when it belongs to a franchise as recognizable as Toy Story.
Instead, Toy Story 5 saw one of the more noticeable drops on the chart.
That does not mean the movie is in danger, but it is unusual enough to be worth pointing out. You would expect a title like this to be building, not slipping.

CinemaCon Doesn’t Look Like It Helped
This tracking data comes after CinemaCon, which should have helped visibility if the event was really making an impact with mainstream audiences. Instead, the latest numbers suggest otherwise.
That makes Toy Story 5 another example of a movie that may have benefited from industry buzz without gaining much from the general public.

Should still draw big numbers
Pixar and Disney can probably still count on Toy Story 5 drawing major attention once the full public campaign gets going.
But the latest tracking suggests that phase has not kicked in yet in a meaningful way.
For a title this big, anything less than a steady climb is notable.
