Taylor Swift Scares Off ‘The Exorcist: Believer’

As a result of AMC’s concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour opening on Oct. 13, The Exorcist: Believer has changed its release date.

Originally, The Exorcist: Believer from Universal Pictures was going to open on that Friday the 13th release date, but following Taylor Swift’s concert movie netting a massive $10 million and more in presales, The Exorcist: Believer will now open a week prior on Oct 6.

Worth a mention is that ticket sales for the Taylor Swift event are outpacing most movie presales within a 24-hour period.

Jason Blum producer on Exorcist and from Blumhouse announced the news and had fun with mention of Taylor Swift.

Update: Ticket sales are insane and have topped Spider-Man.
