Robert Pattinson’s Batman Logo Spotted on DCU Clayface Set

A new set photo from the production of DCU Clayface has sparked speculation that Robert Pattinson could be the Batman of James Gunn’s DCU.

Batman Logo on Set

The image shows a Gotham City Department of Sanitation sticker placed on a dumpster with the familiar Bat symbol beside it.

The logo is identical to the one used in Pattinson’s The Batman, leading many to believe the character could cross into the DCU.

Update: James Gunn responded on Threads: “Although the trash can is from the set I have a hard time believing the bat was put there by the art department, but if so it never came across my desk (I don’t have time to ok every piece of set dressing.)”

Speculation Around Pattinson

James Gunn has previously denied that Pattinson would be his DCU Batman, stating Matt Reeves’ films remain separate.

Still, rumors have persisted that Gunn is open to using Pattinson, especially with the DCU introducing Gotham City for the first time in Clayface.

Corporate Moves Could Shift Plans

Adding to the speculation is the recent news that Skydance-Paramount is exploring a bid to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, which controls DC.

If such a deal happens, executives may push to consolidate Batman under one actor, making Pattinson an appealing choice given the success of The Batman.
