Prince William & Harry Get Star Wars: Episode VIII Cameo Roles; Includes Benicio del Toro

A few days ago saw Prince William and Prince Harry visit the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII.

Now it’s learned the royal pair participated in a scene which saw the two don Stormtrooper suits.

The UK’s Express received word the scene also involves Benicio del Toro.

Prince William and Prince Harry were surprised by director Rian Johnson who had them suit up as Stormtroopers where they played the parts alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Benicio del Toro. The scene is said to involve Rey and Finn infiltrating a secret base.

“The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicio del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter – two of whom are William and Harry,” a source told the site.

It’s unknown if the scene will make the final cut, but it possibly suggests Benicio del Toro might be playing a good guy as he could be teaming with Rey and Finn. Of course, another possibility is that Rey and Finn have been captured by Benicio del Toro, and the Stormtroopers, played by Prince William and Harry, are there to assist. It’s rumored Benicio del Toro is playing a villain named Lord Vikram.

The report also says Prince William kept in his Stormtrooper guise as he gave a birthday cake to a member of the crew.

“The guy said it was surreal, being presented with a birthday cake by the future King of England who was dressed as a Stormtrooper,” the soure offered. “The Princes had a great time and could not have been more relaxed and friendly to everyone on set. It’s obvious they are genuine Star Wars fans.”

Original Star Wars Trilogy Back In Theaters This Summer

The Alamo Drafthouse is re-releasing the original Star Wars Trilogy, Episodes IV, V and VI, in select theaters nationwide this Summer.

The bad news is the Star Wars trilogy is the 1997 special edition, so all of Lucas’ cruddy edits are still there.

Hopefully one day Disney will be able to release the original versions.

Find the details on the re-release below as well as the list of cities.

Info:

ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE BRINGS ORIGINAL

STAR WARS TRILOGY TO CITIES

ACROSS THE COUNTRY THIS SUMMER

“Return of the Trilogy” roadshow program will take audiences back to a galaxy far, far away with triple-feature screenings at more than twenty locations nationwide

Alamo Drafthouse is so excited they could pull the ears off a gundark to announce they’ll be bringing the original STAR WARS trilogy to cities across the country this August with its epic “Return of the Trilogy” roadshow program.

EPISODE IV – A NEW HOPE, EPISODE V – THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and EPISODE VI – RETURN OF THE JEDI have long been out of release, locked up tight in the vaults. Now, an ultra rare opportunity will bring these beloved original classics of the STAR WARS universe roaring across the big screen at movie palaces and performing arts venues from coast to coast.

Not only that, most will screen back-to-back-to-back as one galactic-sized triple feature – taking audiences from Luke’s humble beginnings on Tattooine all the way through to the final climactic battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire in a single sitting. The Force, as they say, will be strong with us.

“It’s always been a dream to show the original STAR WARS trilogy again – somehow, someway,” says Alamo Drafthouse’s VP of Special Events, Henri Mazza. “Seeing the original trilogy on the big screen for the first time is a real life-altering event and just a supreme amount of fun. When the films became available to book for screenings like these, we jumped at the chance to do something big.”

While many dates and locations are still to be announced, “Return of the Trilogy” screenings will take place at venues in over 20 cities throughout the month of August. All three of the films will be presented in their 1997 re-release format. Tickets for most markets will go on sale at ReturnOfTheTrilogy.com on May 4th, otherwise known as Star Wars Day: May the 4th Be With You.

Spencer Wilding Rumored As Darth Vader For Star Wars: Rogue One

It’s long been rumored that Disney wants to capitalize on one of the most well known and popular charcters in existence, Darth Vader, and now an actor is rumored to be playing the father to Luke Skywalker.

According to Flickering Myth, UK stunt actor Spencer Wilding will be putting on the Darth Vader costume for Star Wars: Rogue One.

Spencer Wilding recently had roles in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Victor Frankenstein, Jupiter Ascending, Doctor Who and Game Of Thrones.

More than likely Spencer Wilding will be featured in the costume with James Earl Jones back as the voice of Darth Vader. Jones has been voicing Vader in the animated Star Wars Rebels series, so it’s probably a sure bet.

Star Wars: Rogue One takes place before the events of Episode IV and after Episode III where Darth Vader first appeared in the movies.

New Look At Snoke In Star Wars: The Force Awakens

With the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray now available comes a batch of designs for Supreme Leader Snoke, played by Andy Serkis.

Snoke has officially been described as:

The Supreme Leader of the First Order, the mysterious Snoke has no permanent base of operations, preferring to contact his underlings from a mobile command post. Snoke is powerful with the dark side of the Force, and seduced Kylo Ren into abandoning the Jedi path to become his apprentice. But Snoke also commands General Hux and the technological war machine the First Order has engineered to destroy the New Republic and Leia Organa’s Resistance.

A redditor posted the following giving us a look at unused designs, which includes a white-robed Snoke, a scene involving Snoke on a viewer in front of Kylo Ren, a good look at Snoke’s malformed body and more.

Batman Vs. Superman Cut Scene & Star Wars Easter Egg & Trailer Revealed (Video)

Watch video below featuring Batman Vs. Superman producer Deborah Snyder talking about a Star Wars Easter Egg that was included in the movie as well as a Henry Cavill cut scene.

Both Batman Vs. Superman and Star Wars: The Force Awakens filmed at the same time. Zack Snyder happens to be a big fan of Star Wars (and was at one time rumored for a SW movie). Snyder released an image of a Jedi Superman Henry Cavill (above), which saw Abrams follow suit with images of his own, only for Snyder to do so as well (see below).

Deborah Snyder actually reveals they created a special Batman Vs. Superman Star Wars-themed trailer, which was for their personal use, but hints it may be released at some point.

The Batman Vs. Superman Star Wars Easter Egg is of Lex Luthor as prisoner TK-421, which is the name of the Stormtrooper from Star Wars: Episode IV that Luke and Han stole the stormtrooper suit from used to infiltrate the Death Star.

Regarding the Batman Vs. Superman cut scene, it involved Henry Cavill as Clark Kent investigating Batman in Gotham City.

Star Wars: Episode VIII Rumored Luke Skywalker Scene & Poe Dameron Costume

We get some rumored details on a Star Wars: Episode VIII scene involving Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and also a description for Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron costume.

Previous set images revealed aristocratic-looking characters and aliens, and now the scene is said to take place at a casino. It’s said the scene involves lots of different aliens, similar to the cantina scene from A New Hope and The Force Awakens, but on a larger scale.  Luke is said to be walking around the casino looking for someone (unknown).  Something apparently happens causing an evacuation with the sequence said to involve Laura Dern’s character and Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, as well as lots of people evacuating into smaller ships.

Regarding the costume of Poe Dameron in Star Wars: Episode VIII, Making Star Wars describes it as a cross between Han Solo and Indiana Jones. It’s said to be Poe’s Resistance costume (not the X-Wing costume), which is very similar to Poe’s Force Awakens look, but with slightly updated color and a new jacket. Poe has a V-cut undershirt that is grayish light blue with a jacket from the “Han Solo Collection,” described as a “cafe racer jacket,” but not tight fitting. The jacket is said to look like Han Solo’s jacket from The Force Awakens, but with a higher collar and the lapels stick out more. There is also a left breast pocket.

“Star Wars: Episode VIII” has a December 16, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.
