Here we go again!
Though Mark Hamill shot a few scenes for Star Wars: Episode VIII, now John Boyega offers filming on the sequel to The Force Awakens kicks off in a few weeks in London.
The UK’s Sky News reports John Boyega made a surprise appearance at a screening of The Force Awakens in Brixton and told fans he is “so happy” to work on the next movie.
“So I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting this movie. The movie is yours now and I really hope you enjoyed it and we are so happy to be starting on Episode Eight in a few weeks in London and it is going to be fun,” Boyega told the audience. “May the force be with you always.”
Star Wars: Episode VIII has a May 26, 2017 release directed by Rian Johnson. Greg Grunberg, JJ Abrams long time friend since kindergarten and who plays Snap Wexley, recently let it be known that Abrams had read the Episode VIII script and said it was so good that he regretted not coming back to direct it.
As of yet, there is no official title for Episode VIII; however, if the movie keeps in line with “The Force Awakens” homaging “A New Hope,” the title may play off “Empire Strikes Back.” Any ideas?
