Spider-Man: Brand New Day Empire Reveal: Scorpion, Punisher, New Character

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Empire Reveal: Scorpion, Punisher, New Character

New Spider-Man: Brand New Day images have surfaced, giving fans a first look at Michael Mando suited up as Scorpion with a look at the tail.

The images appear to come from Empire magazine and show Mando’s Mac Gargan in full tactical gear first seen in the trailer, but this time complete with the Scorpion-style armor and tail. It’s the best look yet at the character’s return after his small role in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The good news? The suit actually looks pretty solid. It also looks a lot better than the promo art that has been floating around online.

See the first look at Michael Mando’s full Scorpion reveal in action figure form.

Scorpion is just one piece of the puzzle; our Spider-Man: Brand New Day guide covers the full cast, villains, and plot.

Spider-Man Takes A Hit

Another new image shows Spider-Man with a throwing star stuck in his shoulder.

Fans are already speculating the weapon could be tied to The Hand, the ninja group from Marvel Comics that has been connected to Daredevil, Elektra, and other street-level Marvel characters.

Marvel has confirmed The Hand, and it appears they’re led by a new female villain.

New Looks At Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, Punisher, And Tramell Tillman’s Character

The images also include a new look at Tom Holland’s Peter Parker walking with Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner.

Ruffalo is confirmed to return as Banner/Hulk in the film, joining Holland, Bernthal, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Michael Mando, and Tramell Tillman in the cast.

Another image shows Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle, with the actor quoted as saying, “Frank Castle is perfectly at peace in a world of absolute darkness.”

There’s also a shot of Spider-Man shaking hands with Tillman’s character, currently listed on IMDb as “Bill.”

Spoiler-filled plot synopsis details have also surfaced.

Brand New Day Looks Like A Street-Level Spider-Man Movie

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be a very different Spider-Man movie from No Way Home.

Instead of multiverse cameos, the new images point to a movie built around New York crime, Punisher, Scorpion, Banner, and Peter trying to rebuild his life after everyone forgot who he is.as been a long time coming, and the suit looks like a real upgrade from what fans feared based on the early art.

Kevin Feige has confirmed the flick is the first real Tom Holland “Spider-Man” movie.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day gets released July 31, 2026.
