Connie Nielsen reveals an epic scene that is a part of the Snyder Cut of Justice League that was cut from the theatrical version.
The Snyder Cut scene involves her character, Hippolyta, in a battle against the parademons:
“My absolute favorite stunt was cut from the film, and I’m having a hard time accepting that, it was so cool,” Nielsen told us, confirming that all her scenes were directed by Zack Snyder. “I got to run up a wall and pivot in the air, and as I pivoted on my way down I speared one of the monsters. I literally did that for weeks to get that, and then they didn’t put it in. They took it out, they put it in, they took it out… It’s my great regret because I love stunts, I love being a badass in a film like that, and then sorry that the audience didn’t get to see that part of the cool Amazon fighting techniques, because they were very cool!”
Snyder Cut incoming
While the audience didn’t get to see those “cool Amazon fighting techniques” in the Justice League theatrical release, it’s hoped Zack Snyder will be able to release his Snyder Cut version in some form.
Just this week saw Zack Snyder tease his Snyder Cut following the live-view watch party of Batman vs. Superman.
“You know what, I think they should someday make a sequel to this movie someday,” Snyder teased as the live-feed ended. “That would be amazing. That would really be something else. Yeah. Want to know what happens to these guys. I mean… don’t they eventually… I don’t know… Form some…”
It’s speculated and rumored that Warner Bros. may release the Snyder Cut through the upcoming HBO Max streaming service, and with everyone at home right now, it would sure to be a huge hit for the new streaming service.
Zack Snyder recently said he isn’t quite yet finished with the Snyder Cut as he has some of the CGI to finish, and recent rumor also offered Zack wants to film a few more scenes, so as of now, it doesn’t seem as if the Snyder Cut will be available when HBO Max launches in May, but it’s definitely worth the wait, as by all accounts, the theatrical release of Justice League is nothing like Snyder intended.
Connie Nielsen also returns as Hippolyta for Wonder Woman 1984, out August 14.
