Ryan Gosling Could Be In Talks For Ghost Rider

Ryan Gosling is a super hot commodity following the billion dollar Barbie movie and the actor is also nominated for an Oscar, so Marvel might be trying to pick him up ASAP.

It has recently bee reported Ryan Gosling has met with Marvel, with various rumors offering potential characters including Doctor Doom or maybe even The Sentry. Recently, scooper Daniel RPK has also said Nova, however, Gosling actually shot that down back in July of 2022, but of course things could have changed.

The Nova rumor may have surfaced due to Gosling starring in Blade Runner, a futuristic dark and gritty film, which could fit with Nova in the MCU, depending what they do with the character.

Nova rumors not true

But getting back to what Gosling said in 2022, back when Nova rumors first surfaced, Gosling spoke with Josh Horowitz and said the Nova rumors weren’t true.

“Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumors yesterday which he said aren’t true,” tweeted Horowitz at the time.

Wants to play Ghost Rider

Interestingly enough, while Gosling shot down the Nova rumors, he did say he wanted to play a character for Marvel — Ghost Rider.

“BUT this morning Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play…GHOST RIDER,” added Horowitz.

Nova or Ghost Rider?

So if you are Ryan Gosling and you are currently on top of Hollywood right now, you basically get your pick of the litter.

Is Gosling going to go with Nova where it’s rumored to be a bait-and-switch character where Nova gets killed and replaced by the awful woke version in the comics that, similar to Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel and Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel, has failed time and time again? Who wants to be associated with that?

Or do you potentially go with Ghost Rider, a more grounded character who would be getting a fresh start in the MCU (also if I was Gosling, I would demand to be a producer so they can’t fk things up)?

Also as I said back then, Gosling has a good relationship with Warner Bros., so how about Ryan Gosling as Green Lantern Hal Jordan? James Gunn is developing the DCU and the Lanterns TV series.

As I warned Jared Padalecki who is also rumored for Nova, Gosling has to be careful joining the MCU which isn’t what it once was now that Jon Favreau, Joss Whedon, James Gunn and the Russo Brothers are no longer involved. The stories and scripts haven’t been up to par, there have been massive box office bombs, and all the Disney+ shows are big failures. I’d be wary of joining Marvel because of the use of the replacement crappy characters and woke approach to the content that has destroyed the brand. If you’re the Oscar-nominated Gosling, you have to make sure you aren’t being one-upped by some cruddy wannabe no on likes (that’s Sam Alexander aka Nova In Name Only – NINO; Richard Rider is the only true version).
