Jared Padalecki Rumored As Marvel’s Nova

Let's hope Feige goes with the Annihilation and 2007 version.

Let's hope Feige goes with the Annihilation and 2007 version.

Jared Padalecki Rumored As Marvel's Nova

It’s claimed that Jared Padalecki might be Marvel’s choice to play Richard Rider Nova.

The actor of course is known for playing Sam Winchester in Supernatural and Cordwell Walker in The CW’s Walker series.

Jared Padalecki is 41 years old, so it seems he would be playing an older version of Nova. If the casting rumor is true, that would mean the casting would have happened before the strikes.

As has been speculated since Infinity War, Nova may already exist within the MCU, something the Russos teased, as the Nova Corps already exists (or did), and at the start of Infinity War, Thanos destroyed Xandar to obtain the Power Stone.

It could be that similar to the Annihilation comic book event, Jared Padalecki as Nova is the last remaining Nova and holds the power of the Nova Force (cross your fingers).

Update: It’s claimed that Jared Padalecki is in an untitled Nova project along with John C. Reilly and Glenn Close from Guardians of the Galaxy who played Rhomann Dey and Nova Prime, respectively, and Janet Montgomery and Froy Gutierrez, a 25-year-old gay actor with Caxcan and Mexican descent through his father (Froy Gutierrez as the woke Sam Alexander?).

Let’s hope Feige is adapting Annihilation not Marvel NOW!

Let’s hope Kevin Feige isn’t going the route of the crappy comics where the comics use Richard Rider as a bait-and-switch for the woke teen Spider-Man wannabe version of Nova, Sam Alexander, that has failed time and time again in the comic books (from Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness), much like Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and all the woke replacements for the Marvel characters under the woke Marvel Now! initiative that was a huge failure with fans and with sales.

There have been rumors that Kevin Feige is developing either a Nova movie or a Nova Disney+ series or special. If it’s the latter, again let’s hope it’s not as the Disney+ shows have been pretty much garbage. The latest from Feige, Secret Invasion, is complete trash. No one wants more of that.

The comics from the past few years have also seen attempts to connect Nova to the Fantastic Four and Annihilation, where it’s my thought that is a testing ground for the MCU movies. Well, those comics also haven’t been any good.

If you are not familiar, read Keith Giffen’s Annihilation, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning’s Annihilation: Nova, the 2007 Nova series, and their 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy and The Thanos Imperative to see how it’s done right (see the chart below).

If Jared Padalecki or anyone from his team happens to read this, be wary of joining the MCU as Nova in a Disney+ show and/or if Jared Padalecki would be starring alongside a teen Nova in a series or movie. Don’t do it. It’s a career killer.

Bob Iger just said they are pulling back on Marvel which is really because of the use of the replacement crappy characters and woke approach to the content that has destroyed the brand.
