The first trailer for The Running Man dropped at New York Comic Con, offering a fresh look at the brutal new take on the classic dystopian story. The film, starring Glen Powell, hits theaters on November 14.
A Deadly Game Show for Survival
Set in a near-future society, Running Man centers on the most popular show on television — a lethal competition where contestants, called “Runners,” must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional killers. Every second of the action is broadcast to a public obsessed with blood and spectacle, and the longer the contestants live, the bigger the cash prize grows.
Powell plays Ben Richards, a working-class man who joins the show to save his sick daughter. His defiance and quick instincts make him a fan favorite and an unexpected threat to the system built around him.

Power Players Behind the Game
Josh Brolin co-stars as Dan Killian, the slick and ruthless producer who convinces Richards to enter the deadly arena. As the stakes rise and the audience turns Richards into a symbol of resistance, Killian’s control begins to unravel.
Release Date and Tone
Running Man opens in theaters November 14. Based on the original story by Stephen King (written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman), this adaptation trades camp for grit, focusing on survival, control, and the price of entertainment.
