Marvel Studios Returning To Comic-Con Ahead of Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel Studios is heading back to San Diego Comic-Con this July and will return to Hall H this summer for its usual Saturday night presentation.

The info comes via The Wrap, where it’s added that Marvel will also have a big presence on the convention floor in San Diego.

The studio is also expected to show up in Anaheim for D23 in August, which means Marvel looks set to make a major push across both events.

Marvel returns to Hall H

The return sets up one of the bigger Comic-Con panels of the year, especially with Avengers: Doomsday on deck for December.

It’s assumed the Hall H panel will center on Doomsday, which would make the most sense given where Marvel is at right now.

Marvel has used Hall H in the past to roll out major announcements, cast reveals, trailers, and surprise appearances, so expectations will be high for what the studio brings this time.

Marvel last appeared at the SDCC two years ago with that big Robert Downey Jr. Doom reveal.

Big Marvel summer and fall lineup

The Comic-Con appearance comes as Marvel has a packed stretch ahead.

Avengers: Doomsday hits in December, while Avengers: Endgame is also getting a theatrical re-release in September featuring added footage tied to the Doomsday story.

Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also due out the following week in July, giving Marvel another major title in the middle of convention season.

Comic-Con runs July 23-26.
