Netflix has renewed its live-action One Piece series for Season 3 and shared a first look at Season 2 during the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo.

Season 3 Renewal
The streaming service confirmed that Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hats will return for a third season. Production will begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa. Ian Stokes will join Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for Season 3.

Season 2 First Look
Netflix also released a sneak peek at Season 2, which premieres in 2026. The footage shows the crew aboard the Going Merry as they head for the Grand Line. According to the official synopsis, the Straw Hats will face “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet” as they explore bizarre islands and battle new enemies.

The new season will introduce fan-favorite Tony Tony Chopper, voiced by Mikaela Hoover, a reindeer-boy hybrid with both brains and charm.

Series Background
Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga, One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy’s quest to become King of the Pirates by finding Gold Roger’s legendary treasure. The Straw Hats crew includes swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), cartographer Nami (Emily Rudd), storyteller Usopp (Jacob Romero), and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar).

The live-action adaptation is produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix, with Oda, Tracz, Matt Owens, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda as executive producers.

Season 1 is now available to watch exclusively on Netflix.
