Antony Starr has officially wrapped filming on the final season of The Boys, and in a heartfelt social media post, the Homelander actor reflected on the experience, calling it “the highlight of my career.”
A Career-Defining Role
Starr said on Instagram that when the show began, he had “no idea what was coming” and praised the series for carving out its own space in television. He acknowledged the hurdles faced along the way, including COVID-19 shutdowns and strikes, but credited the cast, crew, Amazon, and Sony for keeping the juggernaut moving.

“I love this show. And I love this character. Truly,” Starr wrote, adding that playing Homelander gave him “space and range to discover and push boundaries in a way I never expected.”
Starr said, “This complicated character allowed the space and range to discover and push boundaries in a way I never expected and I will always be grateful for this experience… But this creative chapter is closed , and I’ll miss it, brother.”

Gratitude for the Team and Fan
The actor thanked showrunner Eric Kripke — joking they “created a monster” together — as well as the Canadian crew, production team, and his castmates. He also expressed deep appreciation for fans, calling them “the life blood” of the series.
“Okidoke people. We cooked for the last time. Can’t wait to show you what we made. TIL that day, Homelander, signing off,” Starr concluded.

Castmates Chime In
Co-star Karen Fukuhara commented on the post, saying, “What a f-cking time we had. Grateful to have had this experience with you + greatly miss it already.”
