If you happen to be a fan of the Predator, you will probably be happy by what director Shane Black has to same about the new Predator movie coming out in 2018.
Shane Black explains why he decided to take on the new Predator film and cites the reason being that Fox stated they want the movie to be as big as Iron Man 3, which means more epic and a larger budget than any of the other previous Predator movies.
To put it in perspective, the 2010 Predators movie had a budget of around $40 millon, while Iron Man‘s 3 budget was around $200 million.
Fox also says they want to make Predators as eventful and important as a Ridley Scott Alien prequel.
They called me and I was reluctant. I said, “Look. You guys at Fox, I mean, I enjoy these movies, but we’ve been churning out these AVP whatever, they each cost a certain amount of money, they’re okay, but there’s no effort to elevate them or make them any kind of an event.” They’re just sort of another Predator. “Oh, there’s another one that came out.” They said, “What if we said to you we want to reinvent this, and really treat it with as much of an event status, or as much hoopla as we would the Alien prequel, which is coming out also? We really want to make this something. The kind of movie that people line up for.” I said, “Really, you’ll spend a bunch of money?” They go, “Yep.” I go, “Make it really scale, spectacle?” “Yep.” “Shit, that sounds interesting.”
I think the first one was great, and it was contained, and it was a perfect little gem for what it was. I think there’s an expansion that needs to take place, and also just a love for that era, that movie, and the mythology of the Predator. I think that they came to me knowing pretty much that… they said, basically, if I wanted to make Predator but treat it like it was Iron Man III instead of just another little movie. I said, “Let’s really do it right this time.”

Dave & Adam’s Card World is proud to announce the inaugural Nickel City Con is coming to Buffalo, New York the weekend of August 13-14, 2016.
Nickel City Con, presented by Dave & Adam’s, will be a two-day fan festival celebrating pop culture, science fiction, super heroes, comic books and more with over 200 vendors and artists expected to attend. The show will take place in the heart of Downtown Buffalo at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
“This is going to be an event that Western New York has never seen before,” said Adam Martin, CEO of Dave & Adam’s Card World. “Nickel City Con will have something for everyone. From families to enthusiasts, and everyone in between, this is going to be an experience you won’t want to miss.”
Nickel City Con will feature celebrity guests from the entertainment world, including movies, sports, TV and comic books. Celebrity guests confirmed to appear at Nickel City Con include WWE Legend and 16-time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair, actor Brett Dalton from the hit TV programs “Agent Carter” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, actor Sean Astin from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Goonies and Rudy, legendary comic book artist Neal Adams and the actor and martial artist that portrayed Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1, Ray Park.
Additional celebrity guests will include stars from “Comic Book Men”, “The Walking Dead”, “Game of Thrones” and “Supernatural”.
There will be a Cosplay competition during Sunday’s events at Nickel City Con, where attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from movies, television and video games to win various prizes. Comic book collectors will be able to have their comic books graded at Nickel City Con by Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) as well.
Tickets are now available on the Nickel City Con website www.nickelcitycon.com. General admission tickets are $15 per day with a special two-day VIP pass for $49.95. VIP admission includes early entry to the show, VIP Swag Bag and a $10 gift certificate to be used towards any celebrity autograph. Battle the Na’Kuhl During Star Trek Online: Season 11.5 Starting April 12
Sound the alert! Season 11.5, the mid-season update for the free-to-play MMORPG Star Trek Online, will launch on April 12, 2016. The latest update begins with a brand-new featured episode titled “Temporal Front,” where players must prevent Na’Kuhl Temporal Agents from destroying the Federation. Season 11.5 also brings a complete overhaul to the Skill System, plus other new gameplay updates including the Strategist Secondary Specialization, Romulan Admiralty Campaign and Na’Kuhl Red Alerts.
Season 11.5’s new featured episode, Temporal Front, begins at a post-Iconian War convention attended by leaders representing the Federation, Klingon and Romulan factions. What begins as a peaceful summit quickly turns into chaos, as a threat from the future interrupts the meeting to lead an attack on the embassy. Players must now travel through time and space to prevent the Na’Kuhl from destroying the present by invading our past.
Gameplay updates for Season 11.5 introduce both new and revised systems designed to create a more fluid experience for Star Trek Online players. This includes a Skill System Revamp, aimed at making the process of leveling up much more rewarding, and progressing your characters’ skills easier to understand. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens NEW Gameplay Trailer Unveiled
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the FIRST official Gameplay Trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, showcasing the exciting new content that will be coming to a galaxy… not so far, far away on June 28, 2016. For the first time, fans can get a glimpse of the brand new features available in this epic adventure, including:
· Blaster Battles – Players can now engage in intense Blaster Battles, seeking cover behind nearby objects, which is a first for a LEGO game. Characters can then pop out from the safety of cover to fight enemies with blaster fire.

Update: It’s reported Zendaya is playing a character named Michelle.
The 19-year-old actress known for her Disney shows confirmed the news while appearing on Ellen.
“I can’t say anything else other than I’m going to be in it. I have no idea [when filming begins]. I don’t even know that to be completely honest. It’s very exciting. When it comes to the acting space, I’m basically unknown. I’ve never been in a real movie before or anything like that, so I had to start from the bottom like anyone else and audition and audition and audition and break down those walls because a lot of people do have that pre-conceived notion of who I am based off previous things I’ve done, so you got to really break that down and go hard, put in the work, take all the meetings, take all the auditions. You know, start from the beginning.”

As Batman vs. Superman is opening this week, the Screen Junkies YouTube channel put out “Honest Trailers” for the 1978 Richard Donner Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve and the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie starring Michael Keaton.
As the Justice League movie will begin filming in about three weeks, the images more than likely give us a good indication as to what the actors will look like in the film, such as Momoa with blond highlights and Ezra Miller with short hair.

Warner Archive Collection (WAC) pits the Justice League against Young Justice, sends Robby the Robot into retirement, fills the Los Angeles Convention Center with song, and spotlights the legendary films of Golden Harvest in a diverse array of entertaining panels this weekend, March 25-27, at WonderCon.
Top billing amongst the quartet of WAC offerings is undoubtedly the Sunday afternoon clash of Justice League vs. Young Justice, an ultimate celebration of two extremely popular animated series sharing the “justice” title. The panel will feature the ultimate fan favorite voices of Batman and Wonder Woman, Kevin Conroy and Susan Eisenberg, squaring off against Young Justice creators Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti alongside voice cast members Khary Payton and Jason Spisak. More panelists will be announced as confirmed. The panel will be held Sunday from 2:00-3:00pm in Room 408AB.
Leading into the battle of justice is a more comedic, tuneful approach to animated super heroes: Warner Archive’s extremely popular Toonstock. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) puts a pair of World Premieres in the spotlight at WonderCon in Los Angeles, March 25-27 – offering fans their first look at the highly anticipated animated films Justice League vs. Teen Titans and LEGO® Scooby-Doo! Haunted Hollywood.
Justice League vs. Teen Titans will have its World Premiere on Saturday, March 26 at 2:30pm in the Microsoft Theater. Many of the film’s stars – including Jerry O’Connell, Jason O’Mara, Jake T. Austin and Christopher Gorham – will be in attendance for the screening and post-film panel discussion, and all panelists (see full list below) will be autographing WonderCon-exclusive Justice League vs. Teen Titans mini-posters prior to the screening from 11:30am-12:15pm. The World Premiere of LEGO® Scooby-Doo!
