A first look at Michael B. Jordan on the set of his new untitled supernatural Ryan Coogler vampire movie has hit the net, and the actor happens to look a lot like Marvel’s Blade.

Not much is known about the film, but it also stars Hailee Steinfeld and Jack O’Connell, with IMDb listing Wunmi Mosaku, Delroy Lindo, Omar Benson Miller, Li Jun Li, and Jayme Lawson.

Ryan Coogler is directing, with an original script by Coogler, who reunites with Jordan from the Creed and Black Panther franchises, and the pair first worked together on Fruitvale Station, released in 2013.

Coogler and Jordan also reunite with the heads of Warner Bros. films, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, as De Luca and Pam Abdy greenlit Creed III when they worked at MGM; the vampire film will be released by Warner Bros who won a bidding war to acquire the flick.

Regarding the first look at Michael B. Jordan in the vampire movie, the pics confirm the flick is a period genre film.

Update: Cast announced and details via casting call notices and possible title.

Wesley Snipes as Blade

Looks similar to Wesley Snipes

Jordan is shown with a faded haircut, similar to Wesley Snipes in the original Blade movies. He’s also shows wearing a suit minus the coat and is in front of what looks to be a Model-T, which possibly dates the movie in the 1920s.

Interestingly enough, Marvel Studios is rebooting Blade with Mahershala Ali, which was said to be a period piece set in the ’20s about Blade and his daughter.

A recent report has said Marvel scrapped most of their ideas for Blade, that it will be set in the present day and it will be about Blade killing vampires, instead of being about other characters.

Who knows? Maybe we have Marvel alums Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler to thank for saving Blade in the MCU, as their own vampire movie sounds a lot like what Marvel was rumored to be planning with their reboot, so maybe Marvel changed things as Jordan and Coogler beat them to the punch.

You can view the pic of Michael B. Jordan on IMDb.

The untitled vampire movie has no release date as of yet and just started filming.
