Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Suffers Another Delay

Skydance Games has once again delayed Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which follows the earlier delay announced in May.

In a new statement, the studio confirmed the title will no longer release in early 2026 as previously expected.

“To fully realize our vision for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, we’ve made the decision to shift our release window beyond early 2026,” said the studio.

Skydance Cites Quality and Vision

The studio emphasized its commitment to delivering a premium, unforgettable experience that honors Marvel’s characters and stories. Describing the game as “an ambitious project,” Skydance said the delay will allow the team to meet expectations and polish the game further.

“We’re committed to ensuring it meets the level of quality that our team, players, and fans expect,” they said.

The developers also thanked fans for their continued support and promised more updates as development progresses.

What Is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra About?

The upcoming action-adventure game features Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Black Panther (Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather) teaming up during World War II. Also joining the story are Nanali, a Wakandan spy, and Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos.

Additional characters include Julie of the French Resistance and Howard Stark. Voice talent includes Drew Moerlein, Khary Payton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Marque Richardson, Lyne Renée, and Joel Johnstone.

The story is an original collaboration between Skydance New Media and Marvel Games.
