Skydance New Media and Marvel Games have announced that the Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra video game, which has been in development for four years, has been delayed by a year until 2026.
The game was first announced back in 2022 centering around Captain America and Black Panther in WWII and was supposed to be released this year.

However, on Tuesday, Skydance Games made the following announcement that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed and will be released in 2026:

What is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra about?
The details include the game follows Captain America Steve Rogers and Black Panther (T’Challa’s grandfather).
Thanks to the story trailer released over a year ago (watch below), Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra features two additional characters who are a part of the team with Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris, and Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos.
Making up the voice cast includes Drew Moerlein as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, Khary Payton plays Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather, with Megalyn Echikunwoke as Nanali, and Marque Richardson as Gabriel Jones.
The additional cast includes Lyne Renée as Julie, a key ally in the French Resistance, and Joel Johnstone rounds out the cast as Howard Stark.
“In the chaos of war, worlds collide. Skydance New Media and Marvel Games share an original story where an ensemble of four heroes must overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy,” states the video description for the story trailer.
The game will also feature an original music score by Grammy Award-winning composer Stephen Barton who is known for his work in film, television and games, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Trek Picard, Apex Legends, Titanfall, and 12 Monkeys.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will be released in 2026 and is expected to be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
