Netflix and Kevin Smith announce the premiere date for the He-Man Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 2 series which debuts Nov. 23.
“Make no bones about it, Skeletor finally has the Power! Wanna see what @HamillHimself does to the Universe with it? And whither Ram Man? Check out Part 2 of @MastersOfficial REVELATION when it comes to @netflix on NOVEMBER 23rd! (This metal-as-Hell artwork is by @NathanBaertsch!),” tweeted Smith.
The Netflix Geeked Twitter added, “FIGHT FOR THE UNIVERSE!! the epic conclusion to Masters of the Universe: Revelation – Part 2 is officially premiering on Netflix Nov 23rd.”
Deadline also describes the series as follows where Teela is front and center:
The Kevin Smith He-Man follow-up series picks up where the iconic characters left off decades ago. After a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor, Eternia is fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.
A lot of fans were upset by the bait-and-switch tactics from Kevin Smith and the first part, and Smith has said Part 2 will follow Evil-Lyn, so what happens to He-Man remains to be seen.
The voice cast also includes Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Stephen Root as Cringer, Diedrich Bader as King Randor/Trap Jaw, Griffin Newman as Orko, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klop, original Skeletor Alan Oppenheimer as Moss Man, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Justin Long as Roboto, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man and Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man.
