Kevin Feige Confirms No MCU Plans For Deadpool, Wolverine, Blade, Miles Morales

At the D23 Expo in Brazil over the weekend, Kevin Feige confirms no immediate plans for more Deadpool & Wolverine, Blade, and the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man.

Recently saw Disney yank the Blade release date, and recently also saw Ryan Reynolds announce he is reteaming with both Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy on a movie that’s NOT Marvel.

Sony also owns the rights to Miles Morales.

What did Kevin Feige say about Deadpool & Wolverine?

While appearing at the big D23 Expo over the weekend in Brazil, Feige was asked various questions, where, let’s be honest, they come off as pure spin.

None of the answers given were specific answers, but sound more like what we’ve heard Disney say about the Rian Johnson Star Wars Trilogy which is never happening.

Deadpool & Wolverine made over $1.3 billion and is the biggest R-rated home video release and probably will be one of the most-viewed releases on Disney+, yet no sequel is happening anytime soon. Again, Reynolds announced he is taking a year to write a non-Marvel movie that reteams him with Jackman and Levy, so that means after that they have to film it, which makes it sound like Feige has zero plans to continue Deadpool & Wolverine.

“The plans with Deadpool and Wolverine will always be the same: we’re always wondering where we can fit them in, and how fast.”

What did Kevin Feige say about Blade?

Regarding Blade, Feige and Marvel really blew it as it has been five years since the film was first announced with two-time Oscar winning actor Mahershala Ali attached to star in the movie.

Instead of doing a simple Blade vs vampire movie, Feige and his bonehead team of woke producers were originally going to have it be all about women who teach the fans life lessons. Thankfully, the last five years of the MCU massively bombed, and reportedly all the woke elements in Blade have been dropped. That said, Feige doesn’t give fans a definitive answer about Blade:

“We’re committed to Blade. We love the character, we love Mahershala’s version of him. And rest assured, whenever we change direction with a project, or are still trying to figure out how it fits into our schedule, we let the public know. You’re updated on what’s going on. But I can say that the character will make it to the MCU.”

What did Kevin Feige say about Miles Morales?

For Miles Morales, Kevin Feige was asked if there are any plans for the character to appear in the MCU. Feige just says Miles is appearing in Sony’s third Spider-Verse movie and says he hopes Miles can then appear in the MCU. Again, Sony owns the rights to Miles, so that would be up to Sony, and assuming Disney/Marvel would want Miles Morales in the MCU. Sony and Marvel Studios just announced Spider-Man 4 is happening with Tom Holland.

“Miles will appear in the third Spider-Verse, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action.”
