Jesse Plemons could be heading to a galaxy far, far away, as the actor is reportedly in talks to play the villain in Shawn Levy’s upcoming Star Wars movie, currently in development at Lucasfilm.
If cast, Jesse Plemons would potentially join Ryan Gosling, who is said to be in talks for the Star Wars film. Jodie Comer is also rumored.

The rumor comes via Daniel RPK who claims that Shawn Levy has offered Jesse Plemons the role in his Star Wars movie. No other details are known.
Jesse Plemons is known for recent roles in Zero Day, Civil War, Black Mirror, and Love & Death, and for The Irishman, and he is also known for playing Todd in Breaking Bad.

Plot details for the Shawn Levy Star Wars movie are also being kept under wraps. It has been reported Levy’s movie will be unconnected to the so-called Skywalker Saga and that it’s meant to be a standalone movie.
The film also doesn’t have an official release date, but is looking like it could be the next Star Wars movie to be released following Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian & Grogu which comes out May 22, 2026.

Disney recently yanked the Daisy Ridley Star Wars movie from its Dec. 18, 2026 release. It’s thought Kathleen Kennedy is finally departing Lucasfilm.
Star Wars Celebration Japan takes place next week, April 18-20, where it’s speculated Disney will be announcing details on Kennedy’s exit and its upcoming slate of Star Wars projects.
