Jason Momoa Rumored For Superman Sequel As Lobo Hits Supergirl Poster

Jason Momoa Rumored For Superman Sequel As Lobo Hits Supergirl Poster

Jason Momoa might not be done with the DCU after Supergirl.

Momoa is now the subject of speculation after reportedly being spotted in Atlanta, where Man of Tomorrow is currently filming. The report has fans wondering if Lobo could be showing up in James Gunn’s Superman sequel. Milly Alock is also said to be there.

Of course, there is another possible explanation. Momoa is dating Adria Arjona, who has been cast in Man of Tomorrow, so he could simply be visiting her while the movie is in production. People reported earlier this year that Momoa and Arjona have been dating publicly since 2024.

Still, if Momoa is actually part of Man of Tomorrow, that would make the movie even bigger.

Jason Momoa’s Lobo Could Be A Big DCU Wild Card

Momoa is already set to play Lobo in Supergirl, which gets released June 26.

The Main Man has been a fan-favorite DC character for years, and Momoa’s casting was one of those moves that made immediate sense.

After playing Aquaman in the old DCEU, Momoa now gets to continue in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU as the intergalactic bounty hunter.

If Lobo also appears in Man of Tomorrow, it could mean DC Studios has larger plans for the character beyond Supergirl. This fits with what insiders have told us, that they liked Momoa as Lobo so much, they added more.

Supergirl Poster Puts Lobo Front And Center

A new international Supergirl poster has also surfaced, featuring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Krypto, and Momoa as Lobo on his space hog.

The poster gives fans a new look at Lobo, with the character positioned alongside Supergirl and Ruthye.

The timing is interesting.

As Supergirl gets closer to release, it looks like Warner Bros. and DC Studios may be leaning more into Momoa’s Lobo for the movie’s marketing. That makes sense.

Momoa is the biggest name attached to the film, and Lobo gives Supergirl a louder hook for general audiences who may not know Kara’s Woman of Tomorrow storyline. Momoa is also a big international star, and Lobo adds much-needed testosterone to the movie, which has seen female-led superhero movies underperform.

Supergirl Tracking Recap

We recently covered the first Supergirl box office tracking, which showed the movie in decent early shape.

Supergirl is still more than a month away, so DC Studios and Warner Bros. have time to push the marketing harder. A bigger Lobo presence could help.
