What did James Gunn say about the Superman trailer?

Recently on social media, James Gunn seemed to tease that the Superman trailer is complete.

Our own DC insiders have told us the Superman trailer has been worked on for quite some time. At Comic-Con in July, we were told Gunn’s film is “solid” and that the trailer was being worked on at the time.

Gunn also recently sounded as if he was putting the finishing touches on the trailer.

“I worked on it this weekend,” Gunn responded to fans a couple of weeks ago.

Regarding being locked and loaded, a fan questioned Gunn about when the Superman trailer is coming out because footage from Peacemaker Season 2 already dropped and Marvel has been releasing trailers for Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts.

“It’s on my hard drive. But, seriously, all three of those projects come out months before us,” replied Gunn.

Gunn has also told fans that he has watched a cut of the Superman movie “dozens of times.”

Another fan remarked that since promotional images of Peacemaker are complete, that it must mean the Superman trailer is already done, which saw Gunn shoot back, “You think?”

An eager fan awaiting a new David Corenswet poster also questioned if there are any updates and how is the progress going?

“It’s moving quickly,” said Gunn, adding to another fan that the Superman movie is going “really well, thank you.”

When will the Superman trailer be released?

With James Gunn seemingly teasing the Superman trailer is complete, that lines up with the upcoming CCXP in December.

The CCXP is one of the biggest pop culture fan conventions in the world and is taking place December 5th to the 8th. We are guessing Gunn will be bringing the DCU to the CCXP on Saturday, December 7, which is when the Superman trailer will be released.

“Brazil is always important to me!” Gunn previously replied to a fan.

Update: James Gunn has told fans he will not be at the CCXP. It’s unknown if that means the DCU will be there without him or if the trailer will or will not be released during the convention.
