Will Reeve, son of the late, legendary Superman actor Christopher Reeve, has a surprise cameo role in James Gunn’s Superman movie.
Known for his role as an ABC News Correspondent, Will Reeve will also be playing a reporter in the film, according to set images and video taken from the Cleveland shoot.
While Will Reeve wouldn’t confirm his role, TMZ caught up with him and asked about his experience. Will actually found himself more nervous filming his small role on the Cleveland, Ohio set than appearing on camera as a news correspondent.
“I was feeling the butterflies like never before,” Reeve admitted. “It was an entirely different kind of pressure than what I’m used to on the news.”
Despite the nerves, the son of Christopher Reeve described the cameo as a fantastic experience overall.
“It was a great opportunity, and I’m glad I did it,” he said.
TMZ also asked if he will have a larger role in the DCU. However, fans shouldn’t expect Reeve to make a permanent leap to Hollywood. He assured that he’s not ready to leave his day job in the Big Apple just yet.
“I know the folks making the film, and they’ve been so kind to me and my family, and I had a free day, so we made it [happen],” he said. The cameo serves as a heartfelt nod to his father, Christopher Reeve, who famously portrayed Superman. Watch the video below.
The Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story documentary featuring Will Reeve and his family also gets released in September.
