We get more insider info regarding Marvel, this time about Ironheart via Nerdrotic, who recently confirmed Jon Bernthal would be starring in Spider-Man 4, which was recently announced by the trades.
Nerdrotic on X says the Marvel series went through nearly a dozen re-edits and sat on the shelf for over two and a half years (Anthony Ramos has also confirmed they filmed three years ago).
Nerdrotic adds that people inside Marvel consider Ironheart “the worst thing they have ever made.”
“Ironheart went through almost a dozen re-edits and sat on the shelf for 2 1/2 years,” tweeted the YouTuber. “People within Marvel consider it the worst thing they have ever made.”
This follows the news of the poor ratings where it’s looks likely Ironheart has already been canceled and won’t be getting a Season 2. Ironheart also now holds the lowest Rotten Tomatoes audience score of any MCU Disney+ show.
Because it wasn't worth it.

Ironheart Characters Will Return in Avengers 5
Despite the negative reception, it’s claimed that some characters from Ironheart are expected to appear in the next Avengers movie.
Nerdrotic said in a separate tweet that the characters will show up in Avengers 5, continuing Marvel’s post-Endgame plans. Whether or not they make it out alive remains to be seen.

Will MCU blowback hurt Doomsday?
Worth a mention is that Robert Downey Jr. attempted to help promote Ironheart from the set of Doomsday over in the UK. It didn’t work, as it’s looking like Ironheart is among the lowest-viewed MCU shows on Disney+.
Marvel now has to hope Robert Downey Jr.’s involvement in promoting Ironheart doesn’t backfire and damage Avengers: Doomsday. Recently, Marvel pushed back the release dates for both Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, putting them further away from the current struggling MCU slate, likely an attempt to give the films a safer distance from the recent failures.
Avengers: Doomsday now gets released December 18, 2026. Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
