Marvel’s Ironheart Reveals Sacha Baron Cohen As Mephisto

The final three episodes of Marvel’s Ironheart are now streaming on Disney+, and they offer a first look at Sacha Baron Cohen as Mephisto (confirmed in the credits).

Just like the series, disappointingly, Ironheart only shows Sacha Baron Cohen with long hair and a beard and not in his “devil” form, so any earlier images resembling the “devil” Mephisto are fake.

Who is Mephisto?

Mephisto is a powerful demonic villain from Marvel Comics who rules a fiery hell-like dimension and often manipulates others through deception and deals. He’s inspired by the devil of folklore and frequently clashes with characters like Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man. Known for altering reality and collecting souls, Mephisto thrives on chaos and corruption. Despite his immense power, he typically works through subtle influence rather than direct confrontation, making him one of the most dangerous and cunning antagonists in the Marvel universe.

Ironheart spoilers

In Ironheart, Mephisto provides Anthony Ramos’ character with the magical hood.

The final three episodes reveal that while attempting to imbue the Ironheart armor with magic, the Natalie AI is erased. The series ends with Riri making a deal with Mephisto to apparently reverse Natalie’s death. Riri makes the deal with Mephisto, and Natalie is apparently brought back from the dead. Riri hugs Natalie as her arm starts to sport those black veins that The Hood also had. The series ends.

There is a post-credit scene with Ramos’ Parker Robbins visiting Stanton’s shop and asking for the big magic in the back of the shop. There, he meets Zelma Stanton, who in the comics is Doctor Strange’s apprentice and a librarian at Strange Academy. It could be possible that the Ironheart post-credit is meant to set up the rumored Strange Academy series said to be in development.
