Today actually happens to be the birthday of Superman, so how fittingly that a new rumor surfaces about the future of Henry Cavill with Marvel.
Henry recently parted ways with the Man of Steel following the end of the Zack Snyder DCEU where it is claimed Cavill is now at Marvel.
Rumored for Doctor Doom
A couple of weeks ago it was rumored that Henry Cavill would be playing Doctor Doom for Marvel first appearing in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.
However, it seems as if the rumor might not be true.
Following the rumor the MyTimeToShineHello Twitter account teased, “He was offered something else and he accepted.”
Fan casting has the former Man of Steel as the MCU’s Captain Britain, but that also might not be the case.

Who is Henry Cavill playing in the MCU?
Again, Henry Cavill playing Captain Britain is a fan-favorite choice; however, we could argue that role went to Haley Atwell in the What If…? animated series.
A rumor from last year via Giant Frickin Robot offers Spider-Man UK!
In the comics, Spider-UK is a Multiverse version of both Captain Britain and Spider-Man set on Earth-833, so that would be perfect for fans that want the actor as Captain Britain which would also nicely line up with the upcoming release of Avengers: Secret Wars.
Earth-833 also happens to be the same Multiverse Earth that Mysterio said he was from in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and there is even a toy from the flick that resembles Spider-UK.
The rumor at the time actually said Henry Cavill was going to join Sony’s Spider-Verse as Spider-Man UK (which following Morbius and Madame Web might not be such a good idea); however, maybe Spider-Man UK will be appearing in Secret Wars.
Of course, Henry could be playing an entirely different character. Any ideas?
