Godzilla Vs. Kong HBO Max Release Unleashes New Logo

Godzilla vs. Kong unleashes a new logo along with the announcement of a simultaneous release on HBO Max and in theaters.

Warner Bros. announced that all of its upcoming movies will get released on HBO Max and in theaters at the same time.

“Warner Bros. Pictures Group announced that it has committed to releasing its 2021 film slate via a unique, consumer-focused distribution model in which Warner Bros. will continue to exhibit the films theatrically worldwide, while adding an exclusive one month access period on the HBO Max streaming platform in the U.S. concurrent with the film’s domestic release,” stated the official announcement. “Following the one month HBO Max access period domestically, each film will leave the platform and continue theatrically in the U.S. and international territories, with all customary distribution windows applying to the title.”

Godzilla vs. Kong has a May 21, 2021 release date, so that release date appears to be sticking. A previous report offered GVK would either get released on HBO Max or Netflix – and possibly not in theaters – due to movie studios facing a pile-up of major releases, but we see WarnerMedia decided to go with their hybrid release instead.

Hopefully the Godzilla Vs. Kong trailer gets released soon as well.

Godzilla vs. Kong is directed by Adam Wingard and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hal, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, with Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir.

The most recent synopsis for the movie offers: Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash on the big screen in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
