George Clooney Rumored For Marvel

It’s claimed that George Clooney is in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Of course, Clooney is known for playing Batman in the DC universe, and recently returned as Bruce Wayne at the end of The Flash movie.

The rumor comes from the same source who also recently said Sydney Sweeney is wanted as a Jedi by Lucasfilm in an upcoming Star Wars project.

The rumor again comes from MyTimeToShineHello, where I just said Marvel shut down its sister account, CanWeGetSomeToast, so take whatever MyTimeToShineHello says with a big grain of salt.

Is George Clooney playing Nick Fury in the MCU?

That said, fans are guessing that George Clooney could be the MCU’s original comic book version of Nick Fury and could appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Interestingly enough, back in 2019, my insiders told me Scott Derrickson’s original plan for his version of Doctor Strange 2 was to include original comic book versions of characters from the Multicerse. The original Nick Fury was among them.

What happened is that Feige ditched all that, Derrickson bailed, and Sam Raimi came in to give us Feige’s corporate Doctor Strange 2, which was a huge disappointment.

Avengers 5 is currently rumored to feature 66 Marvel characters, and following is Secret Wars, which certainly will have lots of Multiversal Variants, so maybe George Clooney will have a quick cameo.

Maybe we’ll find out more next month at Comic-Con, as Marvel Studios is confirmed for the SDCC.
